Equal Opportunity Cell

The Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) of Century Cement College, Baikunth, Raipur (C.G.) is constituted to promote equality, inclusiveness, and a discrimination-free academic environment for all students, faculty, and staff.

The Cell functions in accordance with the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 to ensure that every individual receives equal opportunities irrespective of caste, creed, religion, gender, disability, language, economic status, or social background.

Objectives
  • To promote equal opportunity and inclusive education for all students.
  • To ensure that students belonging to SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, Persons with Disabilities (PwD), Minority Communities, and Women receive appropriate support and guidance.
  • To create a safe, respectful, and discrimination-free campus environment.
  • To encourage social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion in academic and co-curricular activities.
  • To facilitate awareness regarding scholarships, government welfare schemes, and institutional support services.
  • To address issues related to discrimination and recommend appropriate remedial measures.
Functions of the Cell
  • Promote equal access to education and institutional facilities.
  • Organize awareness programmes, workshops, seminars, and counselling sessions on equality, inclusion, and constitutional values.
  • Assist eligible students in availing scholarships, fellowships, and welfare schemes.
  • Monitor the implementation of policies related to disadvantaged and underrepresented groups.
  • Receive and examine complaints related to discrimination or denial of equal opportunity.
  • Recommend suitable measures to the College Administration for ensuring fairness, transparency, and inclusiveness.
